|"Mixed Metal Lux!"|
LOOK OF THE DAY
For today's look of the day I decided to go with a more fashion forward style by creating a colour blocked ensemble and accessories it with mixed metals.
We start off with a Vintage GAP mixed metal studded collar chambray button up paired with burgundy denim skinnies by Topshop. I buttoned the chambray top all the way to the top for a polished look, tucked it into the skinnies and belted it with a Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo tan leather waist belt to create partition of the 2 garments. I then added a structured navy blazer by H&M to add more polish. Lastly, as it’s not as warm as we want it to be I threw on a military inspired pea coat by Primark for extra warmth.
On bottom, I kept it on the neutral side and went with my nude patent lace up oxfords by New Look as we already have a lot going on with the mixed metal accessories and the colour block between the blazer jacket and jeans.
For accessories, I played off with the mix metal studding on the chambray top and added a mixed [Gold and Silver] metal tiered steel feather necklace by H&M. The necklaces itself are actually separates I just layered the gold over the silver to make it look as 1 necklace. I then just added a simple analogue watch by ASOS. I know that to some people mixing gold and silver is a fashion don't but I feel that if you piece it together strategically you will dominate and have a chic fashion forward look.
Lastly, the chosen bag to go with today's pairing is my 2 toned shopper by ZARA.
That's it for today’s LOTD and until the next time…FASHION IS THE DICTATOR OF TASTE! ...XOXO...
